here are some examples of the steps it took to come up with final posterdesigns for the iconic tv poster series. some have said ‘that’s easy to do’ probably due to the simplicity of some of the results. if you consider a programme like e.g. ‘the wire’ which ran for 5 years and upon completion reached 60 episodes or a total of 3600 minutes of viewing time, then try to imagine filtering this down into 1 single bit of story line and then turning this moment into a single pictogram (not an illustration!) to represent this, then it can sometimes feel like a fairly monumental task. not to metion the time spent researching each show but i have to admit i had fun doing that.
